1. Serial RS232 Download Tutorial
Preparation:
Use a standard USB to RS232 cable.
Install the USB to the RS232 driver. The driver can be obtained from the cable manufacturer.
Confirm the COM port:
After installing the driver, open the Device Manager to view the COM port corresponding to the USB to RS232.
If there are multiple COM ports and you cannot determine the port number corresponding to the USB to RS232, you can unplug the USB to RS232 cable and then check which COM port disappears in the Device Manager. After plugging it back in, confirm that the port number is the USB to RS232 port.
PLC preparation:
Confirm that the PLC is powered on and check whether the indicator lights are normal: the power light is on and the running light is flashing.
Use a USB to RS232 cable to connect the computer and PLC.
Software operation:
Open the PLC programming software.
Perform a communication test. If the first communication test fails, you can try multiple times.
If the PLC is in stop state, confirm that the operation is safe and click Execute Download.
2. Serial RS485 Download Tutorial
Preparation:
Use a standard USB to RS485 cable.
Install the USB to RS485 driver. The driver can be obtained from the cable manufacturer.
Confirm the COM port:
After the driver is installed, open the Device Manager to view the COM port corresponding to the USB to RS485.
If there are multiple COM ports and you cannot determine the port number corresponding to the USB to RS485, you can unplug the USB to RS485 cable and check the COM port that disappears in the Device Manager. After plugging it back in, confirm that the port number is the USB to RS485 port.

Note: By default, the PLC uses RS485 as the programming port. If the protocol of the RS485 interface is changed to another protocol, the program cannot be downloaded.

3. Ethernet download tutorial
1. Download via Ethernet hub
Connect devices:
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the PLC and computer to the same router or switch.
Configure PLC IP:
Open the Ethernet configuration software and set the PLC IP address, subnet mask and router IP address.
Download Ethernet parameters:
Use the serial port (RS232 or RS485) to download Ethernet parameters to the PLC. After completion, power off and restart the PLC.
Check the network connection:
After the PLC restarts, use the PING command to check whether the set IP address is normal. If it cannot be connected normally, please check the network cable connection.
Program download:
Open the PLC programming software and establish a communication connection. After successful communication, you can write the program or perform monitoring operations.
2. Ethernet direct download
Connecting devices:
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the PLC directly to the computer without going through a router or switch.
Configure the computer:
Configure the computer network so that it is in the same network segment as the PLC’s IP address.
Download steps:
The direct connection download method is the same as the hub connection download method. IP configuration and program download are performed according to the hub download process.
